First step at Hotk

Heroes Of Three Kingdoms Story

Dynasty Warriors 7 – Weapons & Skills Analysis
In Dynasty Warriors 7, you are able to equip two weapons at a time, you can equip it and use it anytime you want in the battlefield. Each weapon has its special features, and any officer can use any weapon. When you obtain a weapon (by defeating the officers in the battlefield or purchase it from the shops in the city), other officers will be able to use it as well. Here comes the brief explanation about the compatibility and the seals equipped to the available slots in your weapon.
COMPATIBILITY
- This shows how capable your officer will be with each type of weapon. There are weapons that require [Power] and those that require [Speed]. Depending on the power or speed of your officer, the Compatibility will change. You can increase your officer’s power or speed through the use of Skills (to be explained later). There are total of 3 stages.
★ (Poor) – You’re not able to use the weapon effectively.
★★ (Good) – You’re able to use the weapon freely and the attack speed increases slightly.
★★★ (Excellent) – You have mastered the weapon and you may be able to perform special maneuvers.

Dynasty Warriors 7 – City Facilities (Conquest Mode) + English Screens
WEAPONS

BLACKSMITH
- You can leave your weapon here and pay the fee in gold, your Seal Gauge will increase depending on your performance in battle. The cost will change depending on the weapon you leave.

TEA HOUSE
- Select a Sworn Ally and Guardian Animal to take into battle with you.
** Sworn Ally – Bonds represent the connection between you and the other characters. The stronger your bond, the more likely the other officer to join you in battle, and the more items you will be able to view in the Gallery. Bonds can be strengthened by talking to an officer in a city, or by assisting them in battle. When your Bond reaches to a certain level, an event will occur within the city, and you can become sworn allies with the other officer. When you make a sworn ally, you can select them in the Tea House and take them to battle with you. (Officers may visit the city from time to time. If you talk to them, then your Bond with them will increase.)
** Guardian Animal – You can take Guardian Animals into battle with you. You may purchase them from the Merchant. They will fight alongside your officer during battle and you can also ride some of them, such as horses and elephants, definitely not the pandas or wolves… You can choose which Guardian Animal to take to battle with you here at the Tea House. (Guardian Animal Abilities: Speed; Power – able to knock down the powerful enemies when running over them; Attack – more damage)

Closing Comment: Here to spoil you. Well, I think most of you have already seen this. The opening intro of Dynasty Warriors 7, I think it would be so good if this could actually happen in the game, I mean running on the wall, avoiding the crazy weapon attack, kicking the horses, fighting at the waterfall and most randomly, the bungee jumping lady with a scarf in bikini – that actually sounds pretty good as a mini game to be able to play as a sexy bikini girl to catch the fallen Chinese baby. I’m a geek!

DW7 Battle Controls
Today, we will explain you about the controls in the DW7. there are some changes here so, you will have to see this.
-Square button: Normal attack. you can use it when you're riding a horse, running, and jumping. But! you can't use it when you in the water, so you can only swim.
-Triangle button: Charge attack. you can combine it with the normal attack ( S>S>S>T, for example) or just press it one time an you can use it. you can use this button to execute your Ex attack ( S>S>S>S>S>T>T. this is one of the commands.). when you're riding a horse, it will jump. But, you can't use it while you're jumping so you must press the square button for aerial attack.
-Circle button: Musou attack. you can use it when you have at least 1 full musou gauge. you can't fill the musou gauge. (see, there are some changes for the controls.)
-R1 + Circle button: To excute the Alternate Musou Attack on the ground, some characters’ Secondary Musou Attack is in the air (not on the ground) – to excute that, press (X) to jump and (O) while mid-air instead.
-(X) button : Jump. the longer you hold the button, the higher you will jump. Mount or dismount horse, climbing ladders, utilize siege weapons (you will have to stand near it until the button command appears.
-L1 button: Block and somersault

DW7's release date delayed for the NA (North America)
we got information that the DW7's release for NA was delayed from the 22th march 2011 become 29th march 2011. we're not sure what is the cause of the delay.
And we got another informations about DW7's release date for the Asia. We heard that for Asia, it will be on the same date as the NA release date. But, still we're not soo sure about this news ('cause for Indonesia, usually they will get the DW about half until one year after it's release in Japan.)

DW7 characters can use other DW series costume (not including strikeforce version)
Good news for those who like to have many costume for your favorite character(s). So you will not get bored on only seeing your character wears the same costume. You will have to buy these costumes from the DW7's site. Here are some of the characters and their costume.

DW7 is almost out! i bet that you all already wait it for a long time. well, i gonna show you some of the DW7's screenshots and gameplay.

DW7 Combat Attacks!
There are 3 types of main attacks that you can perform in the battle. They are the EX attack, Musou attack and the Charge attack. As you have already known, in Dynasty Warriors 7, you can equip any weapon you want on your character, let’s say I’m using Zhao Yun, his preferable weapon is a spear, so I can change his 1st and 2nd weapon to another category, let’s say Flying swords and Flying swords (same one) – it’s possible, but you can only do with the normal combat and charge attacks, but not EX attack because Zhao Yun can only perform the EX attack in “Spear” weapon category only. So i will explain about the EX attack first.(although i had ever explain it).
-EX ATTACK!-
These are attacks that you can perform by equipping a weapon that your character is proficient with (for example, Zhao Yun with Spear, Xiahou Dun with Sword) – They’re denoted by an “EX” mark). The controls will vary depending on your character, in which means, they are all unique. For example, Xiahou Dun is using a sword, Sima Zhao is using a sword, although the attack wise might be similar but Sima Zhao will have his own unique EX attack with the body surfing (only he can use that since it’s unique) – you can do that by pressing S->S->T->T. So every character has their own EX attack but with different controls, some are S->T->T (Sima Shi for example), T->T (Zhong Hui for example) and S->S->S->S->S->T->T (Deng Ai for example).
-MUSOU ATTACK!-
This is a special attack for each character. You can use it when you have your Musou Gauge charged fully (minimum 1 unit full). Everytime you use the Musou Attack, it consumes 1 unit of your Musou Gauge. If you’re playing with your friend (2 players) offline split screen co-op or online co-op. You can also perform the Musou Attack together if both of your Musou gauges are fully charged (at least 1 unit) and you’re next to each other. Each character has their own Musou Attack, let’s say if I’m using Zhao Yun and I have a fan rather than a spear equipped, my Musou Attack will still be Zhao Yun’s Spear Musou Attack. The Secondary Musou Attack, you can excute it by pressing R1 + Circle (O) button in the ground for some characters, for some characters, they have Air Musou as the Secondary Musou Attack, for that, press (X) button to jump and (O) button in mid-air.
-CHARGE ATTACKS!-

DW7 Conquest Mode Achievements
If you complete each goal of the medal/achievement, you will unlock the medal. There are 50 medals you can unlock with the total 1000 points. Here are the list of the medals:
-Wandering Fighter: Increased your fame to 100,000 or more
-Renowned Warrior: Increased your fame to 500,000 or more
-Hero of the ages: Increased your fame to 1 million or more
-Friend of Wu: Complete all the Wu alliance battles

DW7 Weapon Analysis
You all gonna use 2 weapons here, the Ex weapon and the sub weapon. i'm going to explain about this Ex Weapon.
Ex weapon usually known as the main weapon of a character in DW. Ex Weapon allows the character to use the Ex attacks and musou S(so you can't do the Ex attack and the musou without the Ex weapon of the character). Ex Weapon usually given mark the word "Ex" at the weapon symbol as you can see in the screenshot below. Each Character has his/her own Ex weapon.

You can change the Ex weapon of a character but you can't perform any Ex attack because it's not the character's Ex weapon. For example, Zhong Hui's Ex weapon is flying sword so he can perform Ex attack when he's using his flying swords, but when you change his flying swords to his sub weapon or other weapon, you can't perform the Ex attack. When you're using the sub weapon and press the circle button, the weapon will switch automatically from the sub weapon to the Ex weapon and after the musou finishs, it will switch back to the sub weapon.

DW7 Modes
As you all know that Dynasty Warriros 7 has two main modes, the Story Mode and the Conquest Mode. Today, we're going to discuss about these 2 modes.
Story mode usually known as the Musou Mode in Japanese. In this mode, you can select a kingdom (Shu, Wei, Wu, Jin) and play through their story. You can pick your difficulty level – Beginner, Easy, Normal, Hard or Chaos. In Story Mode, you can only play it in one player, so no offline split screen or online co-op in this mode. The officer you play as is predetermined for each stage as well. I think this is for a better story telling and also for the sake of seamless play which you start it with the cutscene then the character goes straight to the battle. You can save the game while you’re playing, also you can choose previously cleared scenario to play through again with the predetermined character for that particular stage.
Conquest Mode usually known as the Chronicle mode in Japanese. Conquest Mode is the replacement for Free Mode from previous games.You can play various stages to take over the whole map. For this one, you can select any officer you want to play as, and change your officer any time you want. And as you proceed through the game, you can unlock the additional officers as well. You can do a split screen offline co-op and online co-op in this mode. It combines minor aspects of old Xtreme Modes, Legend Modes, and Empire Modes into a giant gridded map where you can select and play over 215 different missions. It also implements a variety of RPG elements into the game and will probably be the primary timesink in DW7. Conquest Mode when opened is a giant map of china covered in blacked out or gold/silver hexadecimal shapes. Each of these shapes is called an "episode" or for the sake of simplicity a "hex". Each hex is a battle scene or a city. When you select a hex you choose which character to enter it as, certain hexes have special restrictions on which character you can use for it (for special What-If and Special Weapon missions covered later) and some hexes have special requirements to unlock. As you finish each hex (which will turn it gold) you'll unlock all hexes touching it for access (turning them Silver). Some players may decide to unlock as many hexes as fast as possible (thus taking a zig-zag route with as much exposure as possible) or some may choose to slowly make their way down the map. The choice is yours! (Note: Unlocking Hexes on the Conquest Map is global, not on a per-character basis, so once you have access to a Hex on one character, you can play it with any character [unless it has character restrictions]). If you play the Conquest mode, there will be so many cities there. Every province have at least one city. Within each city are a variety of facilities that you can access. These are the city's facilities:
-Blacksmiths are places where you can pay a fee to have your seal gauge be filled based on your performance in recent battles.
-Weapon Dealers are places where new weapons can be created, as you gain control of more cities you also gain the ability to create more weapons.
-Tea Houses are places where you can select and manage your guardian animals and allies. Here you can select who will aid you in battle at the next fight (be it guardian animal as a mount or ally, or officers as allies).
-Merchants are rare NPCs who sell the services of Officers to assist the player in battle. You can also purchase weapons or animals here.
-Scholars are rare NPCs who will give you a quiz over Three Kingdoms trivia and if you answer four out of five correctly will reward you with gold or items.

When selecting a hex you can view the information right on the hud, such as conditions (no pets, no allies), reward (in gold or weapons), and the scenario's difficulty rating. These hexes are "gaiden" stages or What-If missions for specific characters. (Human's head symbol).Now is the time for battle! Each battle hex has its own set of objectives, participating officers/factions, and its own rewards. Once you're in battle just begin hacking and slashing your way to your objectives. After battle reap the rewards of your labor, rifle through your gained weapons, view your new stats, spend your Skill Points, and prepare for the next hex! Slowly but surely you'll dig your way across China!
